Katherine Heigl opens up with the world regarding her "white bubble life" and how it has affected her parenting style for her multiracial adopted children. She revealed in an interview recently that, in terms of the color of her skin the issue isn't that important. But after speaking to her adopted sister from South Korea she realized just the different ways society treats people of different races. "I I asked my sister Meg whether she'd received the same treatment when she was walking around with our parents, and another way in the time she was by herself without them. She replied "Oh Yes, all the time!" Heigl explained to Parents: "That was when I discovered how naive I made me feel." According to the actor she grew angry. But, she was determined to channel that anger towards helping her adopted girls. Sheigl's husband Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. 4 have been married for 13 years. The couple adopted Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8), who is black and was adopted in 2009.
